Plenty of dentists can perform cosmetic dental procedures, but some have more training in the field than others. If your goal is to improve the appearance of your smile, it can help to look for a dentist who is associated with an organization that provides advanced training for cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Homsi happens to belong to one of these organizations: the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He also offers a wide range of services for correcting aesthetic dental flaws, including veneers, metal-free restorations, cosmetic dental bonding, professional teeth whitening, Invisalign clear aligners, and gum recontouring.

Feel free to reach out to us if you’re interested in learning about how our team can help make the smile of your dreams a reality.

The best way to choose a dentist is to carefully consider the traits that matter most to you. Chances are you want a practice that will take your insurance, has hours that work for your schedule, is located nearby, and offers a variety of services beyond routine preventive care. Make sure you have a clear idea of what you’re looking for so that you can narrow down the practice that’s right for you. Don’t forget to take a look at the dentist’s credentials as well as the feedback that the practice has received online.

It’s difficult to give an exact answer to this question since there are a number of factors that need to be taken into account, such as the complexity of the case, the number of teeth that need to be removed, the possible use of sedation, and any related procedures. A reliable estimate for the cost of a tooth extraction can be provided once our team has completed an examination of your mouth.

Paying for dental care is typically much easier if you have a reliable dental insurance plan. At Charm Smile Dental, we are in-network with Delta Dental and can also file claims for other dental PPOs. Patients without insurance may instead want to think about applying for financing. Third-party companies such as CareCredit and Lending Club give you the option of breaking up the cost of your care, thus putting less of a strain on your budget.

Going to the dentist without having the financial means can be challenging. However, sometimes going to the dentist early can be better both financially and from your health standpoint than waiting until the problems become worse. Adults missed 183 million hours of productivity time last year due to their own oral pain or unplanned dental visits.

There are several options to look into in order to get the proper dental care:

  1. Look into community health centers in your area. They usually offer dental care at a reduced cost based on your income.
  2. Some local dental offices offer free health care days for people who cannot afford it. Our office offers a free full mouth treatment to one person in need every quarter. Ask us about this program.
  3. Many dentists offer payment plans that can make dental care affordable spreading the cost over a period of time
  4. Paying your dental care using a credit card that offers a 12 month 0% APR payment option which makes getting the dental care you need practical.
  5. Some local dentists offer discounts to specific groups such as seniors, veterans or prepayment discounts. Our office offers a 5% prepayment discount.
  6. Some dental societies offer programs for low-income patients

Choosing a new dentist can be tricky. Here are the most common ways people choose their dentists.

  1. Family or friend referral: the best way to choose a dentist if your family or friends recommend that dentist. This means that your friends and family are happy with the dentist and they trust the team they go to based on good experiences and a great service.
  2. Google reviews: Google reviews can offer a glimpse on the rating of the dental office in your area  but it doesn’t tell the full story. Also, google reviews can be relative to other dental offices in the area. Usually dental offices who have frequent good reviews with a small number are better than dental offices who have a large number of reviews but are not frequent.
  3. Insurance network: Some patients choose their providers from the insurance website. However, this doesn’t mean that the dentist you are going to is a good one or a bad one. It is recommended to research more to find out about the office that you are interested in choosing.
  4. Community involvement: Some dental offices are active in the community and helping other local businesses. This is a positive sign that the dental office has a good mission supporting the community and providing great service to people.

  1. High labor costs: Dentistry is a very labor-intensive business and it requires a lot of staff support that gets paid higher wages than other industries.
  2. Being a dentist requires lots of years of education and usually dentists take loans with large amounts to be able to get their degrees.
  3. Technology: In order to provide high quality dental work, dentists must invest hugely in technology which has high costs.
  4. Materials: Dental materials are expensive and take a lot of money to develop them by the dental companies.
  5. Liability and precise work: there is a big liability for any dental work done so dentists try to cover their bases. Plus, dentistry is very hands-on and can be very demanding.
